The Frankfurt trade fair formnext is taking place this year from November 18 to 22. It focuses on additive manufacturing and the next generation of intelligent industrial production. Solidteq GmbH, expert in 3D printing in metal and start-up of Rheinmetall Automotive AG, will be presenting solutions for 3D printing with metallic materials in Hall 12.0, Stand B 92. The main emphasis will lie on general mechanical and plant engineering, special plant and equipment, tooling manufacturers and product development offices, as well as the automotive industry and its related sectors.

This year's exhibition stand is designed as a corner stand with 25 square meters. The presentation shows details of customer projects implemented in a wide variety of industries. The project phases that the company offers from a single source will also be exemplified. These range from consulting to the development of a 3D model, from printing to perfecting and finalizing the workpieces.

Solidteq is part of the international automotive supplier Rheinmetall Automotive and has been specializing in Selective Laser Melting (SLM) for seven years now. The still young company makes its extensive capabilities in additive manufacturing and mechanical processing available to both internal and increasingly external customers. Technical consulting services round off the portfolio.

The field of application of 3D printing ranges from rapid prototyping to the production of small series. Meanwhile the focus has now shifted to the selection and design of possible series applications. Experience from various customer projects has shown that the potential of the new manufacturing process can only be fully exploited if additive manufacturing is considered as an alternative or complementary manufacturing process as early as possible.

Solidteq, emerging from Rheinmetall Automotive AG, specializes in 3D printing with metallic materials. It bundles extensive group-internal expertise in the area of additive manufacturing. Target groups include the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and other sectors requiring short product development cycles or wanting to generate additional competitive benefits. Its longstanding experience in Selective Laser Melting ensures high process robustness and a profound understanding of the technology.
