SSAB is providing new processing opportunities for customers to explore, with a laser cutting machine and state-of-the-art press brake featuring a patent pending bending technology. The new machines were presented during a unique event at the SSAB steel service center in Oborniki, Poland.

South Korean-based Horyong Ltd boasts 28 years of know how in the production of truck mounted aerial lifts, used in construction and other work sites. To meet customer demand, and possess the competitive edge needed on the global market, the company almost exclusively uses SSAB’s Strenx performance steel in the special purpose vehicles manufactured.

Dongfeng Forging Co., Ltd., part of the commercial vehicle manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Group, has placed an order with SMS group for the supply of an MP 5000 eccentric forging press with a forging force of 5,000 tons for its plant in Shiyan, Hubei Province, China.

"We are investing 45 million kronor in pilot plants as part of a pre feasibility study to define a process that enables recycling of mine waste through innovative processing, producing critical raw materials. Lab tests conducted during the year confirmed that we can produce more phosphorus and rare earth metals than estimated," says President and Group CEO, Jan Moström.
